Fidan studied International Relations at the Faculty of Political Science, Istanbul University. She had an active role in founding the We Will Stop Femicide Platform Association in 2010. She is Istanbul Representative of the platform.
She advocates for the legal struggle of femicide with the families of the victims since the foundation of the platform. Hence she aims to make the negligence causing femicide known by the mass and create a strong public opinion against femicide. She also works to enforce the Law No 6284 for the protection of women against violence.
