Born in 1975, Betül Selcen Özer graduated from Sociology department of Middle East Technical University. She completed Economical and Social Demography Master Program at the Institute of Population Studies, Hacettepe University. She has worked for NGOs including Willows Foundation, TURMEPA and Community Volunteers Foundation in areas such as reproductive health, family planning, environment and youth since 2000. She has experience in field studies, education, project management, fund-raising and communication. She lectured on Basic Demography at Sociology department, Yeditepe University between the years 2013-2015. She is the general manager of Tohum Otizm Foundation since 2014.
